On 11th November 2016, China Business Development Manager Davy Li attended the technical conference and awards dinner along with 30 other finalists, where he had the opportunity to present to the industry the Multi Service Vehicle Refuge Chamber ITA finalist.

The TunnelSAFE MSV Design has been developed as an alternative to MineARC’s Rail Design based on industry demand. Designed to be mounted to a multi-service vehicle, the TunnelSAFE MSV chamber can be fitted with the client’s remote control system, allowing the vehicle to be operated from within the refuge chamber. The chamber’s mounting points are custom engineered to specifically match the client’s MSV, allowing easy bolt-on installation.

The standard TunnelSAFE MSV range is fully compliant with ITA and BSEN 16191 Guidelines, with the option for clients to customise the shape, capacity and internal layout of the chamber. MineARC also offers a range of upgrades and special features such as a temperature control misting system, high ambient air conditioning and digital fixed gas monitoring.

The TunnelSAFE MSV Design has already been adopted by several projects across Europe, including the Brenner Base Tunnel in Austria and the Lyon-Turin Project in France. These refuge chambers are currently positioned on-site, ready for use in the event of an emergency.
